The report aims to analyse co-publications between Africa and Europe in the field of health and to inform relevant policy by revealing the trends in bi-regional research collaborations and the publication of research.

The Bibliometric Analyses on EU-Africa Research Co-publications in Health reviews literature related to EU-Africa R&I collaboration landscape and identifies the trends in health research co-publications between EU and Africa from 1993-2015. It also analyses the impact of co-publications within the bi-regional R&I landscape and provides a critical analysis of the factors that have driven collaborative research between African researchers and their European counterparts, while highlighting the financing trends of health research.

This report was commissioned by CAAS-Net Plus partner, South Africa's Department of Science and Technology.
