France, Germany Bilateral Research Cooperation on the Agenda

Cooperation between France and Germany on climate change, food security and water resources in the sub-Saharan Africa region is the focus of a meeting that is being organised to take place in Berlin in June 2015.

“France and Germany are both involved in research on climate change and related impacts on food and water in Africa,” the event announcement says.

“The objective is to foster new partnerships for French-German cooperation.”

The conference is expected to “provide a forum for presentations of on-going research programs, discussions on needs and challenges, and identification of subjects of common interest”.

The conference is organised by the Department of Science and Technology of the French Embassy in Berlin and the Institute for Development Research (IRD), which is a CAAST-Net Plus partner.
