West Africa Research and Innovation Conference Goes to Ghana
Organised under the theme ‘Research and Innovation for Human Development: Role of National Institutions in Addressing Threats in Emerging Economies’, the conference will focus on topics such as innovation and entrepreneurship, technology transfer, research uptake and utilisation, research administration, and creating enabling environments for quality research.
CAAST-Net Plus partner, *Research Africa (RA), will hold a session at the conference on research resource mobilisation.
“Our session will inform researchers of the competitive edge that access to funding opportunities and news via the Research Professional Africa platform can bring to West African universities, research institutions and researchers,” says RA head of sales Pfungwa Nyamukachi.
“WARIMA provides a much needed platform for research directors, research administrators and technology transfer professionals to network, receive training, share knowledge and benchmark good practice with peers,” she adds.
Supporting partners of the conference include the UK's Wellcome Trust, the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership, and the Danish International Development Agency.
