Conference to Discuss Sustainable Energy for Africa

The conference will consist of the following topics:

  • United Nations ‘Sustainable Energy for All’ and ‘Sustainable Development Goals’;
  • Energy mix (pros and cons of every primary energy source) and external constraints;
  • Towards robust, equitable and socially acceptable energy systems for Africa; and,
  • Research, innovation and education in support of sustainable energy policies.

According to the press release, the conference aims to “raise public and private awareness of the opportunities and challenges of sustainable energy development in Africa by bringing together a number of high-level experts who share similar concerns but have few opportunities to discuss solutions of common interest.”
