CAAST-Net Plus partners, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Council on Health Research for Development (COHRED) and the Spanish Foundation for International Cooperation, Health and Social Affairs (FCSAI), are organising a report writing workshop and an information day focusing on the RFI, how it works, how it can benefit institutions, and how it links to the Africa-EU partnership on food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture.

"Participating institutions will familiarise themselves with the RFI, how it makes research partnerships work and how it can be applied by research institutions in South Africa to strengthen their standard operation procedures," says an early concept note.

The RFI Report Writing Workshop will take place from 2-3 October 2017 in Cape Town and the RFI Information Workshop will take place on 4 October 2017 in Pretoria, at the Department of Science and Technology.

The workshops precede a successful introductory workshop held in Cape Town, in November 2016, and is designed to inform a critical group of potential users and decision-makers in South Africa, including feedback from the CAAST-Net Plus workshops on RFI to strengthen bi-regional research cooperation.

More information will be posted on this page in due course.
