Call for Proposals: Climate Change Projects for Africa

The Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF) an initiative of the Climate Change and Green Growth Department, a division of the African Development Bank, has dedicated close to € 4.4 million to projects that focus on "supporting direct access to climate finance; and supporting small–scale or pilot adaptation initiatives to build resilience of vulnerable communities," says the announcement.

Projects and programmes should ideally prioritise the areas that are aligned to the priorities of the AfDB, this includes:

  • Inclusive growth and a transition to green growth;
  • Lighting up and powering Africa;
  • Feeding Africa;
  • Africa's industrialisation;
  • Integration in Africa; and,
  • Iimproving the quality of life for Africans.

The call is open to all beneficiaries of the ACCF, as well as African governments, regional organisations, funders, non-profit organisations and research institutions.
