Conference Travel Grants for African Research, Innovation Managers

Are you keen to attend the Research and Innovation for Global Challenges conference taking place from 12-14 May 2015 in South Africa? If so, you could be eligible to apply for one of four categories of travel grants announced by the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA).

The categories are as follows:

  • Category 1 grants, valued at R10,000 (€776), are for managers from Historically Disadvantaged Institutions in South Africa.
  • Category 2 grants, valued at R15,000 (€1,165), are for applicants from Southern African countries excluding South Africa.
  • Category 3 grants, valued at R10,000 (€776), are directed at technology transfer professionals from Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.
  • Category 4 grants, valued at R26,300 (€ 2,043), are open to applicants from west, central and east Africa.

The grant scheme is a collaboration between SARIMA, the Southern African Innovation Support Programme (SAIS), South Africa’s Department of Science and Technology, and ESSENCE on Health Research.
