The goal? “To improve the contribution of civil society organisations (CSOs) to continental decision- and policymaking processes in Africa, in particular in the areas of Good Governance & Democracy, Human Rights, Peace & Security and Women's Rights,” an information presentation says. Proposals should be for projects of between 24 and 36 months, and “seek impact at continental level”. In particular, projects should:

  • Increase CSOs’ ability to contribute to a more effective implementation and monitoring of African continental legal instruments and to a stronger awareness of the people of their rights.
  • Support CSOs’ increased participation and contribution in African continental decision- and policy making and standard-setting.

Concept notes are due 13 May 2016 (4pm).
