
RFI Presented at Global Health Innovation Meeting

The roundtable discussions took place in Berlin on 28 April 2017, as part of a larger initiative to embed global health innovation in the G20. The meeting was focused on Research for Impact and the G20: How can global health innovation drive sustainable development?. On the agenda? How global health partnerships have changed the research and development landscape for negelected diseases, improving global health cooperation to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, and a call to action on global health innovaton.
It is in this context that the RFI, which aims to create a reporting system that encourages governments, businesses, research organisations and funders to develop fair partnerships, was presented.
The Initiative, which has undertaken several regional consultations, is being promoted by CAAST-Net Plus, which sees RFI as part of developing a platform for enhanced health cooperation between Africa and the EU.
