UK Funds SA’s SKA Project

The UK has contributed R1.7 billion to oversee the first phase of South Africa’s Square Kilometre Array Project.

South Africa’s DST has welcomed the UK’s contribution of R1.7 billion towards the Square Kilometre Array Project, which will go into the implementation of Phase 1 of the project.  This step further strengthens the already existing radio astronomy partnership between UK-SA researchers and scientists.
