Announcement: Engaging SMEs in EU-Africa Research Cooperation

CAAST-Net Plus will support the organisation of the event, which will take place in Brussels on 31 March 2014, ahead of the EU-Africa Business Forum and 4th EU-Africa Summit.

A wide range of stakeholders from across sectors are encouraged to contribute to the discussion. 

Topics for discussion include: 

  • Identify impactful national practices that can be scaled;
  • Explore policy and implementation challenges;
  • Highlight untapped opportunities; and, 
  • Improvement of private sector actor involvement in bi-regional research partnerships.

Keynote presentations will be led by South Africa’s Department of Science and Technology, the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation, and the Platform for African-European partnership on Agricultural Research for Development.   

Participants are asked to register attendance before 21 March 2014. \
