Announcement: CAAST-Net Plus Panel Discussion at COHRED Africa Launch

CAAST-Net Plus partner, the Council on Health Research for Development (COHRED), is launching its Africa office at an event in Gaborone, Botswana, this November. “The high-level event expects to welcome approximately 50 high profile delegates, African and global representatives, major research founders, scientists, industry representatives and other experts in the research and innovation for health,” the COHRED website says. COHRED is a non-profit organisation that addresses health-related development challenges in low- and middle-income countries through research and innovation support services. Botswana’s parliament has approved plans for a National Innovation Fund, according to an article posted on Biztech Africa. The instrument “will provide seed and early stage funding for technology based start-ups and ventures as well as established companies with viable innovation concepts,” the article says.
