CAAST-Net Plus Workshop for Early-career African Climate Academics

Ghana's Science and Technology Policy Research Institute will play host to a CAAST-Net Plus training workshop for early-career researchers working on topics related to sustainable agriculture intensification. It will pursue a predominantly pedagogic style and structure, with opportunities for researchers to work alone and in small groups to develop their own ideas, proposal and strategies, as well as to participate in a field trip. In Brief: CAAST-Net Plus Explains Horizon 2020

CAAST-Net Plus has circulated a two-minute film clip featuring three international cooperation experts talking about the European Union's research and innovation funding scheme, Horizon 2020. The clip is an output of a CAAST-Net Plus team charged with raising awareness about the €80 billion programme across Africa. To date, this team has delivered close to 15 Horizon 2020 information sessions across Africa, including most recently a session held with more than 100 researchers in Khartoum, Sudan. Ghana to Host Horizon 2020 Info Day and NCP Training

CAAST-Net Plus and INCONTACT 2020 are jointly organising a Horizon 2020 workshop in Accra, Ghana, targeting researchers and innovators from the west and central Africa regions. The goals? To heighten participants’ awareness of Horizon 2020 and its upcoming opportunities, and to build the capacity of National Contact Points (NCPs) for supporting improved African Horizon 2020 participation.
