Tanzania Receives £30m Boost for Rural Energy

The east African nation’s rural energy sector has received £30m from the Swedish International Development Agency and the UK’s Department for International Development, a press release says. “The main objective of the financing programme is to increase access to modern energy services in rural areas of mainland Tanzania for sustainable social economic development and poverty alleviation,” according to the release.
