Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa University is to host a meeting on Africa’s climate change adaptation capacity. The Symposium on Climate Change Adaptation in Africa will feature “experiences from research, field projects and best practice in climate change adaptation in African countries, which may be useful or implemented in other countries in the continent,” the event website reports. Climate Change Conference Calls for Papers

The Symposium on Climate Change Adaptation in Africa is calling for papers and abstracts to supplement its meeting on 21-23 February 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 20 November, while the paper submission deadline is only on 30 January 2016. Registration for the conference closes on the same date as paper submissions. Accepted papers will be compiled in a book to be titled Climate Change Adaptation in Africa: Fostering African Resilience and Capacity to Adapt. The meeting is a joint effort of the Manchester Metropolitan University, Addis Ababa University, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and the International Climate Change Information Programme.
